Pitch Your Course to Press and Social Media Influencers

Getting the word out about your online school can be a challenge, especially if you don’t have a huge audience yet. Never fear — if you’re looking to reach new customers, this in-person workshop is for you! Join us at our NYC office on Thursday, August 30th, from 6pm to 8:30pm for a comprehensive session on getting press and connecting with influencers, presented by our very own Jess Catorc. By the end of the night, you’ll leave with an attention-grabbing pitch you can use to reach influencers and media outlets.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
We are near most major subway lines on 23rd street (C, E, N, Q, R, W, 1, 2). There's access to the C and E lines at 23rd St & 8th Ave, 1 and 2 lines at 23rd & 7th Ave, and the N, Q, R, and W lines at 23rd and 5th Ave. Please keep in mind that if you're planning to drive, street parking is limited in New York City.

What should I bring to the event?
While you do not need to bring anything to the event, those who can bring a laptop will be able to follow the presentation live and download resources right through this event. If you’d rather not bring your laptop, that’s totally fine — we’ll have paper, pens, and any other needed printed materials available. You may want to bring business cards or an address book to network with other course creators.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
You can reach out to us at support@teachable.com — mention "Community Event" in the subject line of your message.
What's the refund policy?
All deposits will be refunded upon attending the event. We can also refund your deposit if you cancel and someone on the waitlist takes your spot. Refunds will be initiated within 3 days after the event.
Can I arrive early?
While we understand that some folks will arrive in the neighborhood early, we ask that you do not arrive at our office prior to 6pm. Please keep in mind that we have an open office plan and our team will still be working prior to the beginning of the event.
